imbecile

Behind the
Song
Back in July 2025, I heard Zombie by Yungblud for the first time, and it hit me in a way I didn’t expect. That song dragged me back to the start—when music first meant something to me—and pushed me way past my limits. That was the moment I knew I couldn’t stay in pop anymore. I needed something louder, messier, more authentic. Alternative rock felt real. That journey led to “imbecile”
It’s about a toxic relationship—when one person has checked out, and the other still clings on, even knowing the love is dead.
“If I caught on fire just to make you stay, would you love me?”
The lyrics are raw, vulnerable, and full of self-doubt—almost no self-love.
To be fair, imbecile took so much sweat and tears. I pushed myself to the absolute maximum with both songwriting and producing in ways I had never experienced before. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and exhaustion—but I kept going because this song demanded being authentic.
imbecile is the most important song I’ve ever made. It’s a turning point. It’s a risk. It’s me stepping into something uncomfortable and real.
